Bait: Fresh clams in their shells - (Double size clams used to catch the striped bass & small pieces of clams used to catch the porgys) Professor Jim Bogeatjes showed his fellow teachers, assistant, and students his skills in catching fish during the middle of a day with a temperature of 97 degrees. He caught the huge striped bass but without the help of his assistant prof. Pauly Walnuts, this accomplishment would not have been possible. This striped bass was caught at Manoly beach in Greenport, NY. Professor Jim lived his dream of catching the biggest striped bass in the Greenport fishing area. But his dream actually almost came true - it was the first legal-sized striped bass in his entire life, but, sadly, not the biggest. The principal of the school, Franco, caught the largest striped bass of the school, sizing in at 41". Jim still has a long way to go. |
